Eddie and Sonia chose this tiny home for its organization and value, creating a perfect part-time living space for frequent retreats. The entire design process, working with Timbercraft Tiny Homes in Alabama, focused on high-end upgrades and personalized touches.
Custom Kitchen: See the chef-friendly kitchen featuring a full range, Butcher Block countertops, cabinet-front appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher), and a pull-up counter for dining or extra prep space.
Vaulted Ceilings & Skylights: They removed the original loft to vault the ceilings, adding multiple skylights to bring in light and mountain breezes, drastically enhancing the sense of space.
Smart Storage Solutions: Learn about the creative storage areas, including pull-out drawers in the staircase, a spacious pantry, and a unique raised bedroom with a hidden storage room underneath—perfect for keeping a Christmas tree!
Cozy Living Room: A comfortable space featuring a fireplace, ample windows, and a new sliding glass door to access the morning porch.
Luxury Bathroom: A custom-tiled shower includes body sprays, a handheld shower, a fold-down bench, and a unique steam system—ideal for cold winter days! Plus, a washer/dryer combo and live-edge shelving.
Main Bedroom: Features a king-size bed with a built-in pedestal (drawers and lift-up storage), built-in nightstands, and excellent insulation from spray foam for a very comfortable, energy-efficient space. The Mini Splits provide great climate control.
Guest Loft: A cozy, tight space used by kids or guests, complete with a queen-sized bed, skylights, and a reading nook overlooking the property.
Outdoor Living in North Carolina:
The breathtaking North Carolina mountains location—on a retired Christmas tree farm—inspired the home's warm color scheme. The outdoor spaces are just as impressive:
Covered Porch: Includes a favorite surprise—an outdoor soaking tub—plus dining and relaxing areas.
Outdoor Living Room: Features a protected 75-inch TV (in a Stormshell box) for watching movies and sports, comfortable seating, a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, and a convenient grilling area.
