The Singleton design pattern is the simplest pattern there is but the one in which mistakes could be costly.
It is used when we want to limit any class instantiation to one time (hence the name, though I'd call it Onlyton rather than Singleton).
In this video, we'll discover the simplest implementation of Singleton in Java, look at the issues that could come up in multi-threaded programs, and will look at a couple of ways to address them.
