Create a TRIBAL SHAPE in Photoshop

1) Drag out guide lines to find the center of your document
2) Use the rectangle tool (m) and holding down shift drag out a perfect square inside one of the quadrants
3) Next get the polygonal lasso (l) and cut the square in half diagonally so that you have a right triangle
4) Now duplicate and move the triangle around to make any design you want so long as it stays within the quadrant
5) Finally, merge all the shapes and duplicate them, then flip the copy vertically and drag it up until it lines up perfectly. Then merge your layers, duplicate them again, flip the new copy horizontally and drag it over to complete the shape
6) Have fun and be experimental! You can use this same process to create cool borders or even full on repeating patterns
