In Season 4 of Dexter we are introduced to Arthur Mitchell AKA the Trinity Killer. John Lithgow the actor portraying Mitchell revealed how he got the role. The producers had a one on one meeting with him, without his agents present, where they tried to convince him to take the role but he declined.
