Day 4 is a big one—Disney magic in the morning and Epic Universe fantasy by afternoon. ✨🎢
We begin by checking out of Disney’s Contemporary Resort and dropping our bags with bell services. Our next stop later in the day will be Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. One of the most convenient perks of staying on property is Disney’s complimentary luggage transfer service—they’ll move your bags from one resort to another while you enjoy your day.
Skyliner Ride to Riviera & Topolino’s Terrace
From there, we head toward Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort. We take a quick bus ride to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where we board the Disney Skyliner.
The Skyliner is Disney’s aerial gondola transportation system—and it’s completely free. It connects Hollywood Studios and EPCOT to several resorts, including Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century, and Art of Animation. Floating high above the property, you’ll see incredible views of the parks, lakes, and resorts below. It’s scenic, smooth, and one of the most relaxing ways to travel around Walt Disney World.
After gliding into the Riviera station, we walk over and head up to the rooftop level for breakfast.
Character Breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace
Topolino’s Terrace is one of the most sought-after character breakfasts on property. Reservations are notoriously difficult to secure because it’s the only time you can meet four of the Fab Five in their exclusive Riviera-inspired artistic outfits—and character dining is offered only at breakfast, not dinner.
You’ll meet:
Mickey Mouse dressed as a painter
Minnie Mouse styled as a poet
Donald Duck in a sculptor outfit
Daisy Duck as a ballerina
The rooftop views overlooking EPCOT and the surrounding resorts make this breakfast feel elevated—literally and figuratively.
Epic Universe & Super Nintendo World
After breakfast, we take an Uber over to Universal Epic Universe, one of the newest and most ambitious theme parks in Orlando. Epic Universe is designed with “portals” that transport guests into fully immersive worlds. Once you step inside a portal, you can’t see the outside park—it’s completely self-contained, which makes each land feel like its own universe.
We enter Super Nintendo World, where vibrant colors, interactive elements, and game-inspired details bring the Mushroom Kingdom to life. The energy here feels brand new and cutting-edge.
Lunch is at Toadstool Cafe, themed straight out of the Mario universe. We snap photos with Princess Peach before browsing the shops for themed merchandise.
And that’s just the first half of the day. Later on, we head to Universal Studios Florida, where we come face to face with a certain green witch and her best friend… Stay tuned for what happens next.
