How to Hide WhatsApp Status from a Specific contact on Android - Full Guide
Here's how to hide your WhatsApp status from a specific contact:
- Open the WhatsApp app on your phone.
- Tap on the Status tab located at the bottom right corner (Android) or bottom left corner (iPhone).
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the Status screen.
- Select Privacy from the menu.
- You'll see three options for who can see your status:
* My contacts: This is the default setting and allows all your contacts to see your status updates.
* My contacts except...: This is the option you want to choose to hide your status from specific contacts.
* Only share with...: This allows you to share your status only with selected contacts.
Tap on My contacts except...
- You'll see a list of your contacts. Search for the specific contact you want to hide your status from and tap on their name to select them. You can select multiple contacts if you want.
- Once you've selected the contacts, tap the tick icon (checkmark) in the bottom right corner to confirm the changes.
- Now, your WhatsApp status updates will not be visible to the contacts you selected. They won't see your status update even if they open the Status tab.
