I couldn't find a wedding dress that felt like mine, so I decided to make one. From curtains.

This is Part 1 of the series documenting the whole process: in this episode, I'm making the toile for the underlayer using Burda pattern 2493 "Joséphine," cut in white brocade curtain fabric. Things go mostly right. A few things go wrong. As expected.

If you're here for honest process documentation, zero glamour, and a dress that actually gets finished — welcome.
