For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colors (515) Emerald, (162) Black Coffee and (404) English Tea. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends. A pair of scissors. Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the bulrushes together.
The finished size will be 11cm wide x 10cm high (4.25” wide x 4” high) for the larger bulrushes, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the bulrushes in Catona will be 8cm wide x 10cm high (3” wide x 3.75” high). The medium bulrushes will be 8cm wide x 7.5cm high (3” wide x 2.75” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small bulrushes will be 5cm wide x 6cm high (2” wide x 2.25” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
