In today's video, we learned how to install virtual box and set up virtual labs for hacking. To learn and practice various hacking and penetration tests you will need many computers, operating systems, networks, a system from which you will perform hacking, target systems, and if you want to do website penetration testing lot of websites,
Now there are two options, either we can physically have many systems to learn and perform tests, or we can create a virtual lab in which all these operating systems and networks will be stored virtually in one system.
The benefit of having a virtual environment is that all the necessary software remains on one device, it is very safe as nothing happens to your physical device, and all the alterations are made to your physical system.
To create a virtual lab, we will be using a virtual box. I will provide the link in the description. Choose your operating system on which you want to install the virtual box, click on it, and downloading will start. To install just run the installer and it will install in a minute. We also need to install the extension pack so that we can connect USB to our virtual devices to install, click on the extension pack, and run the installer.
When you install it for the first time you will not see any of the virtual machines here and it will be blank, we will be installing them in our next lecture,
