I. Paragraph describing mechanical criteria

A) Brake
Brake pads use kinetic friction to slow motion of the vehicle. The pads move towards the inner diameter of the body when the clutch moves toward the center of the body when the driver moves counterclockwise. The driver is the part that connects to the external braking system (peddles). As the driver turns inward, the treads push the clutch towards the inner body. The clutch not free to rotate and can only move on the horizontal axis. It can lonely move towards the inner body or away from it. The spring inside the clutch is compressed when the brakes are engaged.

B) Brake Release
When the external braking system is released, the compressed spring pushes the clutch towards the driver. The threads of the clutch rotate the driver counterclockwise, causing the external braking to rotate clockwise slightly. The brake pads move away from the inner diameter of the body.

C) Transferring Power to Rear Wheel
When the driver moves clockwise because of the external system, the threads on the driver move the side of tee clutch towards the driver. The clutch meets a parallel surface on the inside diameter of the body and causes static friction. When forward motion is applied, the internal system moves with the body.

D) Coasting both forward and backward
The internal parts are in equilibrium when not under external pressure. The driver sits in the clutch, but does not transfer energy in any direction. Any external motion does not affect the motion of the internal system in anyway.
