Upgrading a Rails 3.2 app to Rails 7 (continued)
In this live stream I was joined by Stefanni Brasil, thoughtbot Developer and one of the maintainers of the faker gem.
We picked up from the day before ( • Upgrading a Rails 3.2 app to Rails 7 (cont... ) and managed to successfully resolve all of the test failures on Rails 4.0, which included resolving a very tricky problem with a new naming conflict between a class in our application and one provided by one of the upgraded gems.
We then took a break from the Rails upgrade to work on a tricky issue in Faker.
Finally, we finished up by starting the upgrade to Rails 4.2, and after successfully resolving a few version dependency issues, we took a peek at the spec run and say that there were only 4 errors.
We'll pick things back up next week on the journey to Rails 7!
