Iran has arrested a woman who stripped in protest at
"abusive" hijab policing after volunteer paramilitary Basij members physically harassed her for not wearing hijab properly. They ripped the student's hijab and tore her clothes. After the confrontation, the student was walking around the campus without her clothes on, in protest, when she was arrested and allegedly beaten up. While the woman's condition and whereabouts are currently unknown, she is being applauded on social media for her
"bravery". Meanwhile, it seems not much has changed for Iran, which was rocked by nationwide protests against the dress code after Mahsa Amini's death in the custody of the morality police in 2022.
