A Parable with Meaning | Hasty Conclusions | Wise Thoughts
A childless couple acquired a German Shepherd puppy.
They loved him dearly and cared for him as if he were their own child. The puppy grew quickly, was loyal, devoted, loved his owners, and always protected them.
Some time later, the couple had a long-awaited child.
Caring for the baby took up almost all of their free time.
Therefore, the dog received very little attention.
The owners believed the dog felt unwanted and jealous of their child.
One day, the parents left their child sleeping in the house.
While they were on the terrace preparing dinner.
When they went to check on the child, the dog ran out of the nursery.
Its mouth was covered in blood, and its tail was wagging contentedly.
The child's father, assuming the worst, grabbed his gun to kill the dog. But, running into the room, I saw a large, headless snake on the floor by the child's bed...
