Genshin Impact is an amazing game that has a lot to offer - as long as you know your way around Gacha games. That's why I created this beginner's guide to help you get the most of of your first few days of playing so you can make an informed decision about whether you want to commit to playing long term.
I wanted to avoid directly restating anything the game tells you in a tutorial, so I may have left out some basic game mechanics. However I tried to include all the relevant meta-details about how best to interface with the game as a new player.
This guide is up to date for the version 2.0 update that was released 7/21/21. If there has been a significant change to the new player experience since then, it may be out of date.
