INTRODUCTION:
The project entitled Online Train Ticket Reservation System is developed as part of the VI Semester RDBMS package project for the partial fulfillment of the MCA degree.
PROJECT:
Online Train Ticket Reservation System is a software application to book air tickets online. This website provides an option for customers to book their air tickets online. Apart from this in admin module can add new air Trains, new routes, new schedules, also admin can view number of tickets booked for each Trains.
OBJECTIVE:
The main objective of the application is to automate the existing system of issuing tickets at only at select outlets to make available online, so each customer can book air ticket at his or her place.
SCOPE:
This application can be used by any airline to issue the tickets to the customers. Apart from tickets customers also can check Train timings.
Existing System
Presently this company have ticket counters in the airport. Where people as to come to book the tickets or to check the Train timings. Also there are many travel agents take the advance booking. In turn these agents will check out with the main ticket counter officials for the ticket confirmation. Which is very lengthy and tedious process.
Proposed System
The proposed system will available online. So anybody who are interested in the checking the Train timings they can easily check. and they can book tickets online.
