Downloading and Installing Winbox
Winbox is the essential graphical interface (GUI) used to configure and manage MikroTik routers. Unlike most software, Winbox is a portable .exe file, meaning it doesn't require a traditional installation process—you simply download it and run it.
Step-by-Step:
Visit the Official Site: Go to the MikroTik Download Page.
Select Your Version: Choose either the 64-bit or 32-bit version (Winbox 4.0 is recommended for the latest features and dark mode).
Run the File: Once downloaded, move the winbox.exe file to your desktop or a dedicated folder and double-click to open it.
Security Note: On Windows, you may need to click "Allow Access" on the Firewall prompt to let Winbox discover routers on your network.
