Klipper Extra Mainboard (MCU) on Ender 3
I added a second mainboard to my ender 3 so i can have the extra ports and steppers alongside my current ones.
The board that im using for the printer is a 4.2.7 and the extra board is the 4.2.2
Steps:
Supply 24V to the extra MCU
Flash the klipper firmware. If you have a different board you'll need to make a new .bin for that board
Connect the new board with USB
With a program called putty log into the pi and enter: ls /dev/serial/by-path/*
In your config add the extra lines with the correct USB addresses
I was about to buy a new board with extra ports but then I found out you can do this and i already had the 4.2.2 board that wasn't being used (layer shifting board)
