BEST COMBAT EXP: The Rat King Guide (150K XP/hr)
The Rat King offers the best combat experience in OSRS (Melee) for mid-level players. (60-100 combat).
But even at higher levels (100-126 CB) Scurrius offers phenomenal combat experience and is only beaten by Dharoking at NMZ & Pest Control with hard combat achievements unlocked.
Scurrius was designed to be best-in-slot for combat experience and it shows! Aside from that, the Rat King also enables players to get comfortable with PVM mechanics such as dodging attacks and prayer-switching.
The Rat King's mechanics are slow enough, giving you enough time to dodge or protect against them. But even if you mess up, the damage is quite forgiving.
What are the EXP Rates? Depending on your CB level & gear, you can expect between 60-170K combat exp/hr training at Scurrius.
What about drops? You can expect to make around 200k GP per hour from the rune drops, not bad for the combat exp!
You also get a 1/33 chance to obtain 'scurrius spine' which can be combined with a Rune mace, Battlestaff, or Yew shortbow to create the Bone mace, Bone staff, and Bone shortbow.
These weapons deal +10 max hit on Scurrius meaning they are best-in-slot for the rat king unless you have access to a Scythe or Soulreaper axe.
