Week 53: Intergalactic Sunshine (BONUS)
Motivation:
I received a video from my girlfriend. It was one of our first encounters with each other where I was interviewing her about her music. She found this video she took of the interview and sent it to me. I think it’s fitting to make a beat out of the instrumental I was making at the end of our interview together.
Likes:
I love that the end sound is nothing like what I started with. I was going to scrap the sample initially, but after adding a few drums to it, it’s really sounding like the perfect final beat to culminate this year’s Beat A Week Challenge!
Challenges:
Pushing through and believing that the end product can still be dope. It didn’t disappoint.
Learned:
This Beat A Week Challenge has been much more rewarding than words can express. So these words will not express it lol. I hope you’ve enjoyed this year’s beat a week challenge as much as I have! Lifting a glass and many thanks to the space, time, and memories we have co-created here!
