silly girl - an original
i decided to write a poppy little tune inspired by dodie as per usual
i never write songs about boys so i thought i should!
this one is not about a specific boy nor is it about a specific event or anything of the sort, but i have many things that are very little that i wanted to make sure happened in the lyrics as well as the music
tiny lil edit this is supposed to be about the fact that i as well as many other ladeez tend to project personalities onto boys who just aren't who i want them to be or who i think they are, and i like to think that they're a part of my sweet little fantasy where i sing neat and soft ukulele songs and they know and care to know my name and who i am as a person, but in reality my experience has not been very pleasant. the tune was intended to be catchy but definitely was supposed to also purposefully sound a bit cheesy and a bit cliche because i want this perfect life and this perfect boy so badly but sometimes that just cannot happen.
and i think it turned out alright!
