I finally upgraded from my GTX 1080 Ti—and instantly regretted it.
Everyone says AMD “just works” on Linux… until you try DaVinci Resolve.
I tested openSUSE Leap, Fedora, and Pop!_OS, Bazzite. Resolve detected the AMD GPU, but rendering? Total failure. Eight hours of troubleshooting later, nothing worked.
Meanwhile, NVIDIA? Install CUDA. Done.
