CORRECTION on PV2 Travis King’s Defection and How I think it Happened
A correction from my first video on Pv2 King which can be found here: • US Soldier Defects to North Korea
It appears that Pv2 King never made it into ACIS or the Army Corrections Information System. This leads me to believe that the unit, not the military police escorted him to the airport. Since the unit escort was not law enforcement, they could not pass security to get on the flight. Pv2 realized this and made a series of decisions that lead him into North Korea.
America does not leave solders behind no matter what mistakes they make, so I'm sure we are doing everything we can to bring him home.
