If you’ve been following the channel you’ll know that I actually liked the changes this past July to the American Express Gold Card…. Well maybe except the color. The white gold card was a let down. Though the annual fee went up, I felt AmEx added some pretty common sense additions that certain people who already get value from the card, can get even more value from.
However, one of the biggest questions that AmEx Gold cardholders still is “what pairs well with the card?” Well, it’s a little less straightforward than you think, but I’ll cover what I believe to be your best options available today. This list includes the Capital One Venture X, the American Express Blue Business Plus, the US Bank Smartly VISA, the US Bank Shopper Cash Rewards, as well as a few honorable mentions (Delta SkyMiles Platinum & American Express Platinum).
