Boris Galkin reappears on screen as the fearless Colonel Sergei Dedov, nicknamed "Ded," in a series broadcast on the NTV channel. Time moves on, and now his granddaughter is a student preparing to marry, while he himself is on the threshold of a new career – teaching at the Suvorov Military School. The events unfold around the assistance Ded provides to his disabled comrade, Kaverin, by arranging for him to rest in a boarding house. During his vacation, Kaverin witnesses the kidnapping of a girl by a group of thugs, and trying to intercede, he himself suffers at their hands. Doctors discover his military affiliation and inform Dedov, who immediately takes up the fight against the criminals to punish the perpetrators and avenge the insult to his friend. #Retired
