Elden Ring - Rogier's Questline (FULL NPC QUEST WALKTHROUGH w/ COMMENTARY)
Sorcererer Rogier's Quest is cancelled if the player speaks to Ranni before progressing his quest. He can be used to progress mulitple NPCs quests and also can allow the player to putchase specific Ashes of War from him.
The start of his quest requires the player to have defeated Godrick the Grafted in order for him to travel to the Roundtable Hold. Before Godrick is slain however he can be found in the Chapel Alter at Stormveil castle. Speak to him here and purchase his Ashes of War if you are so willingly.
If you want extra dialogue from him regarding the golden order corpse under stormviel castle, you have to defeat the Ulcerating Tree Spirit in Stormveil and examine Rogier's bloodstain just sitting in front of the gian face on the floor. Upon arriving back to Rogier asking about this manner he will inform the playing not to encroach any further upon the matter.
After that is done, speak with D about Rogier for more dialogue desciribing him as well wise beyond his years and a formal shell of himself. Go see Fia and let her know what Rogier has spoken to you about and she will give you directions to where you can find the Blackknife Prints.
Go to Blackknife Catacombs and defeat the Black Knife Assassin behind the illusory wall just above the guillatine traps to acquire the Black Knife Prints. Bring these back to Rogier to examine.
Rogier will now inform the player on Ranni's whereabouts, it is now required to travel to Ranni's Rise and speak with Ranni, it is now safe to do so. Upon arriving at Ranni's Rise she will reject the player and tell them to begone.
Head back to Rogier and he will plot to convince Ranni with the player to become one of Ranni's vessels, and subsequent visit to Ranni will allow the player to do so thus allowing Ranni's quest to further progress.
Travel back to the Roundtable Hold and speak with Rogier, He will inform about his sickness and not feeling good and soon will be gone to a slumber. Rest at the site of grace and come back and you will notice that Rogier is sleeping. Exit the Roundtable Hold and come back and he will be dead with his set where he was sitting and a note for the player regarding D's brother's whereabouts.
