Changing the Passat B6 cigarette lighter operating algorithm, without ignition, not permanently.
I don't think the standard operating algorithm is satisfactory for many people, and most who decide to modify it switch the cigarette lighter (preferably through a fuse) to a permanent positive. This increases the risk of forgetting a charger or other device, which can drain the battery (at best) and, at worst, lead to the loss of the car. This method requires minimal investment (a relay with a connector costs 150 rubles) and a little skill. Dashcams, radar detectors, and other electronics can be connected to this circuit. With the correct selection of the relay wire cross-section, the cigarette lighter power will not drop, meaning you can still connect compressors and other high-power devices without any problems. The operating algorithm when the car is opened closes the relay and powers the cigarette lighter and dash cam circuit. In my case, if the car is idle for more than 15 minutes, the units fall asleep and the relay is disconnected, thereby losing power. When the door is opened or some other action occurs, the units wake up and continue working until they fall asleep due to a car emergency or until the car is locked.
