E-PROPS GLORIEUSE : campagne d'essais hélice pas variable / test campaign variable pitch propeller
[FR] Quelques images à la volée de décollages du SKYRANGER 100 cv E-PROPS équipé du prototype d'hélice à pas variable en vol GLORIEUSE.
Certes, une hélice à pas variable ne présente pas beaucoup d'intérêt sur un SKYRANGER.
Cependant, le SKYRANGER est une bonne machine pour faire des essais sur une plage de vitesse de 30 à 190 km/h. Celui-ci est le "mulet" d'E-PROPS, que nous équipons avec de nombreux systèmes d'enregistrement : le DAU "MERLIN" entre l'hélice et le moteur communiquant par Wifi avec l'ordinateur pour l'enregistrement des données, un tableau de bord garni de nombreux instruments et caméras, une perche sous une aile pour les mesures de vitesse et d'incidence, etc.
Une partie très importante du développement des hélices est réalisée avec notre SKYRANGER 100 cv, piloté par Samy Dupland, pilote d'essais E-PROPS.
Une fois validées sur cette première plage de vitesse, nos hélices sont testées sur d'autres ULM - Avions plus rapides, de 200 à 350 km/h.
Les résultats des essais sont satisfaisants. Les premiers modèles d'hélice GLORIEUSE pour moteurs Rotax 9xx sortiront bientôt... :-)

[EN] Some pictures of takeoffs of the SKYRANGER 100 hp E-PROPS equipped with the prototype of infligh variable pitch propeller, called GLORIEUSE.
Of course, a variable pitch propeller is not very interesting on a SKYRANGER.
However, the SKYRANGER is a good machine for testing over a speed range from 30 to 190 km/h. This one is the "prototype aircraft" of E-PROPS, which we equip with many recording systems : the DAU "MERLIN" between the propeller and the engine communicating via Wifi with the computer for data recording, a cockpit equipped with many instruments and cameras, a boom under a wing for speed and incidence measurements, etc.
A very important part of the development of the propellers is carried out with our SKYRANGER 100 hp, flown by Samy Dupland, E-PROPS test pilot.
Once validated on this first speed range, our propellers are tested on other faster airplanes, from 200 to 350 km/h.
The tests results are satisfactory. The first models of GLORIEUSE propellers for Rotax 9xx engines will soon be released... :-)
