A useful DIY saw made from scraps
It's time to turn old blanks into products. For a long time, when re-gluing panels, I assembled the blanks in strips, selecting different shades of beech from the batch being processed.
And now it's done: the required number of panels has been prepared, the insert elements have been prepared, and it's time to get to work.
In this video, we'll be making a mezzanine-style shelf, as expected, with doors on half-overlay hinges and a door opening mechanism. We'll also try a new decorative technique, which helps better bind the glued blanks together.
We'll make a custom jig for quick, angled cuts.
We'll test several brands of new wax for finishing wood.
We'll use new fasteners for wall mounting. And most importantly, all the shelf elements are made of natural wood, no sawdust whatsoever.
You'll be creating a custom-designed mezzanine, from the prepared blank to the dismantling of the doorframes. Let's get started!
