I DON'T OWN THE AUDIO. THIS IS FOR ARCHIVE PURPOSES ONLY.
I found a Reddit post about a Bangla/Bengali-language numbers station on the India subreddit. As a Bangladeshi Bengali myself, I'm both fascinated and permanently scarred that I would ever get to know about a numbers station in my own language. Some Redditor discovered this on the dark web approximately six years ago, and is believed to be broadcast during nighttime.
I have known numbers stations since I watched a top ten video on them somewhere in 2017. Listening to numbers stations is kinda fascinating to me, even if they're creepy as fuck. I even tried making a fanmade numbers station for an old deleted video (It was cringe).
I most probably believe this comes from West Bengal (Indian state; don't get this confused with the country of Bangladesh), as this was posted in the India subreddit, and the post even has a link to a Hindustan Times article on illegal amateur radio stations broadcast from the India-Bangladesh border. The recording also sounds like it came straight from the 1950s to 1970s.
This is not the full version. To listen to that, here's the Reddit post: / mysterious_bengali_number_stations_on_the_... (Voice 1)
Credits to 9kSs for the post and the person who discovered the recording.
UPDATE: So there's another Reddit post about the exact station that's older, / help_needed_decoding_a_possible
And I just found out that redditor 20EYES was probably the one who discovered the recording. So a huge thanks to him/her for finding it.
