This is my first time getting my hands on a Cold Steel Kudu. It's a very interesting and functional folding knife, priced like a Chinese souvenir. Despite its low price, the knife is interesting even for the most avid knife enthusiast. First and foremost, it boasts a unique lock reminiscent of the glorious Spanish Navajas. And, most importantly, the Kudu will cut significantly better than many of its considerably more expensive counterparts. This is due, of course, to the blade's geometry. In this respect, the Cold Steel Kudu is similar to Opinels. However, it differs in that it has a sturdy lock and an indestructible plastic handle.
