Sigma Studio Tutorial why do we need DSP | Delay | Car Audio / Home Theater / SigmaDSP ADAU1701 1452
DSP is digital signal processor, which can process audio signal for better audio performance. When we stand at the middle of two speakers, there's no phase difference between left channel and right channel. But we can't guarantee the distances to each speaker are the same when listening to music every time. In this condition, there will be phase difference, which brings you with bad listening experience, especially in multi-speaker system like car audio or home theater. We can make use of delay function of DSP to control the time when the audio from each speaker will reach our ears.
In this video, we build a 2.0 system with JAB3+ and then use oscilloscope to show the waveforms of left and right channel. We demonstrate to eliminate the phase difference by adjusting delay module in program.
