In this video, I’m kicking off my journey to becoming an AI Engineer by focusing on what actually matters first — building a clear roadmap and taking action.
Day 1 was all about understanding the landscape and getting hands-on quickly.
Here’s what I covered:
Built a structured roadmap using Roadmap.sh and insights from Andrew Codesmith
Refreshed Python fundamentals with Dave Ebbelaar’s course
Enrolled in the AI Engineer Agentic Track by Ed Donner (Udemy)
Built a simple Python project that:
Calls OpenAI Chat Completions API
Uses a Meta Ollama offline model
Solves an AI-generated puzzle and compares answers
Also included: a fun riddle challenge — and yes, I got the correct answer 😄
