This video shows the nest screen I invented that is saving baby sea turtles from becoming misoriented due to artificial lights behind the nest.
Mooney and I visited this nest the day before it “boiled” and the morning after. You can see the nest hole where the hatchlings crawled out (it’s called a boil… because the hatchlings “boil” out of the nest like bubbles off a pot of boiling water.) And you can see all the baby turtle tracks leading away from the nest and to the ocean! Just the way we like it!
