Web3 Identity is a new Crypto Sapiens series that features discussions with key builders from across the web3 landscape including Gitcoin, BrightID, DAOHaus, Orange Protocol and more to demystify the emerging topic of self-sovereign identity and reputation. We explore the value of owning your digital identity across DeFi, public goods, and DAOs.
Today we're going to be talking about creating rich and robust member identities. We'll be discussing what unique opportunities are unlocked by creating unified, portable identities across DAOs and why they're important. We'll also talk about the implications of centralized identity and reputation for app experiences in web3 and what moments of delight will be enabled by portable identity in the metaverse for individuals. We'll also touch on privacy and consent and what roles they play in the future of identity.
