Google My Maps & The New Google Sites
This videos shows how to Create a Google My Maps to embed into the New Google Sites. We will show how to create Map Points, Create a Map Area, and then Driving Directions then we will put the custom map into the New Sites.

Get Started
To create a Google Map that allows for multiple points you must first create a new map to do this:
In video this is done at 0:28
1. Go to http://google.com/maps/d/ or http://google.com/mymaps/
2. Click +Create a New Map button
3. Give the map a title and description
4. Click Save
You now have a map you can start placing map markers on or search for addresses

Make your New Map Public

1. Click share from your map in http://google.com/mymaps
2. Change from Private to On - Public on the web or On - Anyone with the link and the Access is set to Can View
3. Click Save
To embed your Google My Map in the new Google Sites
In the video this task is completed at 13:48
1. Go to the page you want to insert the My Map to
2. Click Insert on the menu to the right side then under Google Embeds, select Map
3. Select My Maps
4. Select the Map you created earlier then click the Select button
Resize the map on the page to how you want it to appear on the site
5. Click Publish to Save the Page and make the map public on the website
