Welcome back to the Algebra Series!
In this lesson, we’re learning how to multiply algebraic terms — step by step, with clear explanations, worked examples, properties of multiplication, and common mistakes to avoid.

📌 What you’ll learn in this video:
➡️ How to multiply numbers and letters (coefficients × variables)
➡️ How to multiply variables with the same base (adding powers)
➡️ How to multiply different variables (combining terms)
➡️ Properties of multiplication in algebra (Commutative, Associative, Distributive)
➡️ Common mistakes students make and how to avoid them
Examples covered in this lesson:
1) 3 × X × y = 3xy
2) 4a × 2b = 8ab
3) 3x² × 2x³ = 6x⁵
🚨Common Mistakes to Avoid:
➡️ Writing X × X as 2X, (it should be x²)
➡️ Forgetting to multiply coefficients (e.g. 3a × 2b should be 6ab, not 5ab)
➡️ Misusing the distributive property ( 2( x+y) = 2x + 2y not , 2x + y).
