ABOUT THE TALK
One of the recent, and not very well-known, fields of application for AI is the extraction and reconstruction of 2D and 3D geospatial information. Examples include the classification of aerial/satellite images to obtain maps, automatic inventorying from LiDAR or drone data, change detection, optimization of infrastructure layouts, and the automated reconstruction of 3D and BIM models from images or laser scans, for example, in the construction sector.
This webinar is aimed at professionals in geomatics, GIS, BIM, surveyors, architects, construction and design in general, as well as anyone interested in the potential applications of AI.
SPEAKERS: Salvador Bayarri
Born in Valencia in 1967, he holds a PhD in Physics, specializing in Computer Science. He has worked in 3D simulation and Geographic Information Systems for twenty-five years, spending six years as a developer at ESRI USA, a leading GIS company, and later founding the startup Mirage Technologies, developing applications for 3D GIS and BIM, which was subsequently integrated into the Topcon group.
He is currently the development director at the Swiss company Gilytics AG and works on infrastructure optimization systems.
