Hello everyone!
I'm very happy to finally publish my second project of the year, my first environment I worked on for 5 months. My "Western Town".
I'm a big fan of western movies and of this era in general. I'm also a big fan of Red Dead Redemption, which I was inspired by.
So my goal was to create a big modular town with different buildings with the possibility to have many variations, an interior and several props.
It was a long process between research, pre-production, production and rendering. I used some megascan assets like vegetation or terrain surfaces to save time, all the wood surfaces were made from photos taken during vacation, modified and reworked on substance designer.
I learned a lot during these last 5 months, terrain production, improving my sculpting skills, modularity, texturing, lighting, optimization but also organization.
This project was fun and I really enjoyed working on it.
