Preparation for FGDS
Fibrogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) is a test that allows for examination of the mucous membranes of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum using a special instrument—an endoscope—inserted into the stomach through the mouth and esophagus.
Many people are needlessly afraid of this test. To ensure the procedure is quick and as painless as possible, we recommend listening carefully and following all your doctor's instructions.
