Elderberry is a berry that grows on shrubs in the Adoxaceae family. The most well-known are black and red elderberries. Black elderberries are used in folk medicine for their anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and immunomodulatory properties. They are rich in vitamins A, C, and B, and also contain antioxidants.
