Bringing Push Notifications to the Mobile Web
Over 100m people use an Android browser as their primary means of accessing Facebook. However, powerful mobile features such as push notifications have not traditionally been available to these users. This talk will focus on how we've taken advantage of emerging web standards to implement push notifications in Chrome, and how we've partnered directly with UC and Opera to implement a custom Facebook push notification system for their users.
