PPTC is a Polymeric type of resettable fuse. PPTC devices are second line protection devices and are used for to protect circuits from accidental over current / over temperature error condition. PPTC fuses reach a high resistance with a low holding current under fault conditions and cycle back to a conductive state after the current is removed, like circuit breakers, allowing the circuit to work again without opening the machines or replacing anything.
