Building a French Mansion in Minecraft
In this video I created a French chateau in Minecraft, inspired by a real life Parisian mansion. This type of old style build is something I love to build, and this cut together timelapse shows how I built it. I love working with a build palette like this, with sandstone and crimson wood. Mostly, I love working with blocks that I wouldn’t typically put together myself. I struggled to add suitable windows and detailing because of the simple nature of the original inspiration, but I think in the end it turned out well. I also wanted to make sure I added buildings on angles so that I could work on detailing and building on angled surfaces.
