The mafia doesn't sleep. The opposition does.
Saturday's PiS demonstration and the Konfederacja counter-demonstration are a worrying sign. Both parties seem to have become accustomed to the idea of inevitable success and, rather than fighting Tusk's pact, are preoccupied with the problem of how to reap its rewards and leave as little as possible for the "right-wing" competition. Hence, the increasingly stupid and confusing forms their dispute takes – for example, as was evident at the aforementioned demonstration, regarding migration.
Meanwhile, nothing is certain, and when Roman Giertych exudes optimism on TVP, it's not necessarily feigned optimism. The ruling gang still has plenty to look forward to, and since they have no restraints, the only thing that can stop them from resorting to criminal tactics is the fear of an organized and threat-conscious society. Do we really need to explain to the opposition why this is the focus now?
