If you look around our Universe, you can see that it is permeated by many galactic filaments and galactic walls. Between these extend vast areas hundreds of millions of light-years across, which we call "voids." These enormous cosmic faults reach such incredible sizes that the largest galaxies resemble grains of sand in their context, and some stars burn to their foundations faster than a photon travels between the edges of a cosmic abyss. Even the ever-present echo of the Big Bang fades into its infinite depths, which hold many secrets and mysteries. This means that the time has come to go to the very heart of the great cosmic void.
