All too often, first responders are called to scenes where drivers have been injured or even killed because they tried to beat a train. Even though they know a train is approaching, too many drivers try to cross railroad tracks. It can take up to a mile for a train to stop, so, when you come to a railroad crossing, always expect a train. Stop. Because trains can’t.
