SAPPHIRE-Generator Application of wind load on a column
This video discusses the development of an algorithm in SAPFIR-Generator for applying wind loads to columns.
The purpose of the video is to examine the operating principles of individual nodes and their interactions. The algorithm's sequence is as follows:
1. Obtain the initial geometry (column points);
2. Move the initial points along the Z-axis using SAPFIR-Generator to the floor height;
3. Connect the initial and final points with a line;
4. Move the resulting line along the Y-axis;
5. Apply the load from one line to another;
6. Create an additional algorithm for calculating the wind load in SAPFIR-Generator;
The resulting algorithm can be saved to the node library for future use.
