September 6, 2023 -- While traveling along the Acadian Shores on the southern tip of Nova Scotia, I stopped at the Acadian Interpretation Centre in Church Point. This museum focuses on the return of the Acadian people to Nova Scotia and their culture, religion and economy. This was a nice counterpoint to my visit at the beginning of the trip to the Vermilionville Historic Village and Acadian Cultural Center in Louisiana, which focused on the mass deportation of Acadians from Nova Scotia (see that video at    • Vermilionville  ).

The end of this video shows several of the museum's displays in detail. That portion of the video is accompanied by music from Louis Michot. He is best known as the fiddle player and lead-singer for the Grammy award winning Lost Bayou Ramblers, and his passion for Louisiana French and local folklore are what fuels his career as a musician.
