Yes, I finally start sorting TWC's engine out after she spat out a spark plug. Again. As fitting an insert would be tricky given the location, I'm opting to remove the cylinder head to either repair or swap. This is a Steyr-Puch 500 engine of 493cc, similar to the larger version in a Haflinger - it's an aircooled, four-stroke flat twin.

TWC is a 1972 Invacar Model 70, with the design by AC (who also built Model 70s). The transmission is a belt-drive CVT. These cars were known as Invalid Carriages when in service. Remarkably, they were in use until 2004!
