Almost all diesel vehicles in Germany are equipped with a diesel particulate filter (DPF). However, this eventually becomes clogged – often as little as 100,000 kilometers, depending on the model. Then it actually needs to be replaced, which costs up to €2,500 for some models.

But a new one isn't always necessary! Holger and Jürgen have been working with Barten Rußfilterreinigung for years, which uses a special process to burn off diesel particulate filters and restore them to full functionality – for just €375 per filter. The Autodocs take a closer look at how this works and what's behind it during a visit to the company.
